Welcome to Sunair Security—a family-founded security company serving Colorado since 1978.
With over 100 years of combined experience, our small but mighty team—led by Wayne Shigley and supported by Brian, Shawn, Steve and Torres—is dedicated to safeguarding what matters most to you.
Serving the Denver Metro area and extending as far north as Fort Collins and as far south as Colorado Springs, we specialize in commercial access control, video management, door intercoms, telephone entry, security-prepped door frames, and intrusion detection.
Sunair Security was founded in 1978 by the parents of Wayne Shigley. From a young age, Wayne and his sister Brandi were part of the family business—running wire through attics, learning the trade, and working alongside their parents through high school and college. These early years instilled in them a deep respect for hard work, relationships, and integrity—values that continue to guide Sunair Security today.
After their parents’ retirement in 2014–2015, Sunair Security was briefly inactive. But following the passing of their beloved mother a year ago, Wayne felt called to revive the family legacy—breathing new life into the company in her honor and building upon the trusted relationships established over the years.
